Questions & Answers

Wurzelrudi-character-01

Is my dog allowed on the chairlift?

Dogs on the chairlift - we generally do not recommend it.

Exceptions are made for dogs that fit in a bag and are transported that way. In the event of a necessary rescue by mountain rescue services, your four-legged friend must be able to be rescued along with you, and this is only possible with a "bag-sized" dog. Exceptions will be assessed by the lift staff.

What are the advantages of packages?

You know exactly what you want? Book exactly that!

We offer three packages to suit different needs, each offering savings compared to booking individual attractions.

Basic covers your visit to the valley, including the bobsled run, maze, and tire slide, and allows for a stay of approximately one hour. Of course, you can stay longer.

You'll need to plan for more time with Basic+, as it also includes the chairlift ride up the mountain and the return trip on the Freche Flitzer toboggan run.

Finally, the Premium package takes you through the entire park – and includes admission to the lakeside village as well.

Is Wurzelrudi suitable for strollers and are there changing facilities?

Wurzelrudi is suitable for strollers, but not everywhere! Please read our assessment carefully!

From the parking lot, you can easily reach the bobsled run, maze, tire slide, zoo, and festival grounds with your stroller. Changing facilities are available there.

If you'd like to go up the mountain, fold up your empty stroller and hand it to our staff at the chairlift. They will then take it up with you. From there, you can easily reach the alpine pasture, navigate a few small obstacles (fall protection/wood chips) in the marmot forest, and then roll down to the lake village along a well-maintained hiking trail. The trail is slightly uphill throughout. The lake village is no problem at all for a stroller.

Please note that we do not consider "double-decker" strollers or "wagons" to be suitable strollers. These are too large for the chairlift.

If you don't want to take the chairlift and are in good physical condition, you can also push your stroller along the mountain trail. However, this is challenging and definitely more suitable for strong dads.

Changing facilities are available in the valley, at the alpine pasture, and in the lake village. We also have emergency diapers and wipes available.

For which age groups is the site suitable?

Something for everyone! From the castle playground and petting zoo for the little ones to the bobsled run and thrilling toboggan runs for the grown-ups, there's something for everyone. And those who just want to sit in the sun can do that too!

The facility is ideal for children between three and fourteen years old, and of course for everyone who has remained a child at heart!

Are dogs allowed? Can dogs be brought onto the grounds at Wurzelrudi's?

Dogs are very welcome here, if...

...they must be kept on a leash and get along well with both strangers and other dogs.

Bowls of fresh water are available near the snack bar terraces. However, the sandbox and water features are off-limits! A footpath leads up the mountain, as the chairlift is only permitted for small dogs.

Where can I pay with a debit card or without cash?

At Wurzelrudi's Adventure World, you can pay by card everywhere. The only exception is the marble rental on the mountain!

Please note that the deposit must be paid in cash here, and additional tickets can also be purchased here, but must be paid for in cash.

From what age can children use the chairlift alone?

Children 125cm and taller may use the chairlift alone. Children shorter than 125cm may only use the chairlift when accompanied by an adult.

Please note that in case of an emergency, the child will be sitting alone in the chair. We therefore recommend that an adult accompany them.

Can I make a reservation for a group?

We offer various packages that include an experience element and catering. Whether it's a birthday, school event, or company party.

For birthdays of all ages, we are happy to reserve spaces in our beer garden or on the terrace of our Adleralm. Reservations should be made in advance by phone or email.

For children's birthday parties, we offer fixed packages in various price ranges, which include a certain number of toboggan runs, tire slides, and a maze per person. You can also choose between a light meal or a full meal.

Details about our group packages can be found on our website. Feel free to contact us directly – we would be happy to discuss your company party, school trip, club meeting, or other celebrations and events. We believe in fostering team spirit through play, whether it's a relaxed summer evening with a barbecue buffet or a ski event for your company.

Where & What is Wurzelrudi's Seedorf?

Wurzelrudis Seedorf is located right at the top of the Adlerfelsen (Eagle Rock). It's a play area with a climbing castle, treetop walkway and much more!

Where imagination takes root: Right at the top of the lake village, Wurzelrudi has built himself a castle. You can conquer it! It contains a dungeon for explorers, a tower office, secret passages, climbing towers, and thrilling slides. The treetop path leads around the Eagle Rock and offers young and old alike fantastic views of the Ore Mountains and the surrounding forests. In the role-playing village, you can slip into the roles of a master baker, a hairdresser, and a shopkeeper. Right opposite, you can go rafting and balance on the water. The village bistro is also located here. Recommended for ages 3+

Why should I celebrate my child's birthday at Wurzelrudi's?

Quite simply: space, nature and adventure! Here you can romp around, laugh and even party really loudly – all without annoyed neighbors.

Whether it's a playground, a maze, or a bobsled track – with us, a birthday becomes a truly memorable experience. Our children's birthday packages also help you keep your budget under control.

How does the treasure hunt work?

At several stations, you'll need to answer questions and stick the correct sticker corner into the medallion in your booklet. Once everything is filled, head to the treasure chest at the valley station. After checking your results, there's a surprise waiting for you!

Wurzelrudi's Treasure Hunt is an adventure for little detectives and big explorers alike. Using a real treasure map, which you can purchase at the ticket counters in our adventure park, you'll journey across our entire area. Those who solve all the riddles and complete the challenges can open the secret treasure chest at the valley station and receive a reward.

Note: Please allow plenty of time.

Game contents: Treasure map, sticker book, and a treasure bag for the reward.

Recommended age: 4-10 years

What snack options are available?

Hunger and thirst are satisfied at several locations.

The main snack bar is located in the valley by the bobsled track. The menu includes currywurst, pasta, baked potatoes, Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake), and other similar dishes. In the warmer months, they also offer vanilla soft serve, iced coffee, milkshakes, and cakes (subject to availability).

On chairlift operating days, the Adleralm at the mountain station and the Dorfbistro in Seedorf are open. Burgers, waffles, ice cream, and pizza are on the menu.

In winter, we invite you to our ski bar right on the slopes, which is also suitable for non-skiers. You can enjoy fries, schnitzel, soups, bratwurst, Germknödel (yeast dumplings), and other treats.

The drinks menu ranges from water, juice, and Wurzelrudi's Fassbrause (a type of German soft drink) to beer, wine, and hot drinks like coffee and hot chocolate. Mulled wine is also available in winter.

Does Wurzelrudi also offer gift vouchers?

Give the gift of experiences – our vouchers are valid all year round.

More Wurzelrudi experiences are also available as gifts: Our vouchers can be conveniently booked online and are also available at the ticket office. Whether for ski school, a summer adventure day, or a ski pass – the recipients can redeem the credit for anything, any time of year. The vouchers are valid for three years.

From what age are the maze and climbing world suitable?

The maze and climbing area are fun for the whole family.

The maze and climbing area are suitable for everyone aged 4 and up who is able to walk well! The paths are not suitable for strollers and some patience is required.

Is the all-weather toboggan run also open in winter?

Fun on rails is guaranteed all year round at Wurzelrudi's! Please note: closure is only possible due to snowdrifts and ice!

Fast-paced or relaxed: On the all-weather toboggan run, you decide the speed. Even in winter, bobsledders speed down the track. Ride alone or in pairs in a sled. The tobogganing fun perfectly complements the skiing experience. The toboggan run is generally open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in winter, provided there is no icing or drifting snow.

Everyone riding or being a passenger in a sled needs a ticket.

Is there a ski school?

Whether on site with experienced ski instructors or taking their own "first steps": Beginners meet in the snow park.

We offer ski lessons for various age groups and skill levels. Due to high demand, all courses with experienced ski instructors – whether private or group lessons – must be booked in advance. You can book online or at the ski rental shop. Tickets for the magic carpet or lift are included in the ski school prices. We recommend three lessons.

Those who want to try skiing on their own will find the separate snow park below the main slope perfect. This children's area is a meeting place for beginners and sledding enthusiasts of all ages. You can buy tickets for the magic carpet at the lift ticket office.
